Methods To cut the specimen with standard cutter, wear it with the specified type of grinding wheel and load a certain weight. After the specified rotation, take out the specimen and observe the condition of the specimen after grinding or the difference between the weight before and after the test. The formula for calculating the wear index is: the weight lost by wear/the number of rotations in the test *1000.
